The 2017 Tri Hita Karana Awards

On the 25th of November 2017 our Matahari Beach Resort & Spa has again been rewarded with the prestigious Tri Hita Karana Super Platinum II Award. The award was given by the Governor of Bali, I Made Mangku Pastika at the Denpasar Cultural Park.

Tri Hita Karana has its foundations in the Hindu based spirit of sustainable development and reflects the harmony between man and God, fellow humans and human with nature.
The Tri Hita Karana Tourism Award is an appreciation for those entities working in the tourist industry who have implemented the concept of Tri Hita Karana in their management. The Super Platinum II Award is the highest which can be given. In this 17th awards ceremony there were 155 participants out of which 116 hotels.
This year the organisation introduced the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Tri Hita Karana Award. This award is given to those tourist entities who consistently and continuously donate CSR funds for the welfare of the people of Bali. This can be done for example for home surgery programs, when a child is granted scholarships from high school to university.

Matahari Beach Resort & Spa is the proud recipient of one the first 4 CSR Awards given this year for the first time.
